WDO is abbreviated for “Wood-Destroying Organisms,” and the inspections are designed to investigate whether or not these pests exist within a home. WDO (particularly, termites) are especially harmful to Florida homes because the humidity and dampness of the climate create the perfect conditions for them to thrive. WDO inspections are performed by technicians who are highly trained in this specific area and must be employed by a licensed pest control company.

During a WDO inspection, the technician will be able to tell you if your home show signs of wood rot and all other signs of infestation. The technician will inspect wood siding, firewood stores, and other prime spots to gather clues. Some common insects to look for are termites, carpenter ants and certain types of beetles.
